The biggest mistake that any CLO can make is to calculate the cost of training as being only the cost of the course content and facilitation. The true cost of any learning exp is the cost of taking your people out of the workplace and putting them in a room for a day. This means that the true cost difference between an excellent, interactive and well prepared learning programme and a boring, file driven PowerPoint based lecture is actually smaller thank you think, but the impact in either creating or destroying a culture of learning and engagement in your organisation may be massive .
